A printed circuit board needs structure and shape. It also needs a platform or canvas to hold all of its other components. This is the job of the substrate. The characteristics of the substrate will affect how the PCB [printed circuit board] performs. For example, a rigid substrate may add strength and durability to the PCB. A flexible substrate allows for more design options. 2, record 2, English, - substrate

The Bartels PRIMA SystemTM Cytomegalovirus IgM Enzyme Immunoassay is a rapid, qualitative method for the detection of IgM Antibody to cytomegalovirus in human serum. Patient serum is diluted with specimen diluent that contains an absorbent to remove IgG. The absorbent prevents IgG/rheumatoid factor complexes from forming and prevents interfering competition from IgG during the test procedure. The treated serum is incubated with purified CMV antigens bound to EIA plate wells. If antibodies to CMV are present, they bind to the antigen and do not rinse off. Subsequently, when enzyme labeled anti-human IgM is added to the reaction site, it binds to the immobilized antibodies. After washing and the addition of a chromogenic substrate and stop solution, specimens containing antibodies to CMV produce a color endpoint reaction which is measured and compared to negative and positive controls, and may be measured spectrophotometrically. 1, record 12, English, - chromogenic%20substrate

1, record 34, French, - inhibition%20par%20exc%C3%A8s%20de%20substrat

Most two-substrate reactions can be put into one of two classes, single-displacement reactions and double-displacement reactions.... Single-displacement reactions occur in two forms, random and ordered, which differ in the sequence in which the two substrates bind to the enzyme.... In ordered single displacements there is a compulsory sequence of reaction, so that one specific substrate, the leading substrate, must be bound first, before the second, or following, substrate can be bound. 1, record 80, English, - second%20substrate

1, record 80, French, - second%20substrat
