BIOTECNOLOGIA [4 records]

Record 1 2014-06-13

English

Subject field(s)
  • Biotechnology
DEF

Colloid in which the disperse phase (colloid) has combined with the continuous phase (water) to produce a viscous jellylike product; for example, coagulated silicic acid.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Biotechnologie
DEF

Record 2 2013-09-25

English

Subject field(s)
  • Biochemistry
CONT

Examination of whole cell lipid profiles for PM1 [Methylibium petroleiphilum strain] and YM1 [Bacillus sp. strain] indicates that they are not identical strains. Thermal gradient gel electrophoresis (TGGE) analysis of 16S rRNA gene fragments from the two strains, however, showed no difference between them. 16S rDNA sequence analysis of strains PM1 and YM1 revealed that they are both most closely related to the genus Sphingomonas.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Biochimie
CONT

  • Biotechnology
  • Genetics
DEF

Those organisms that have been genetically modified through the application of biotechnology induding organisms that have been modified by novel recombinant DNA techniques as well as those that have been modified by mutagenesis or classical breeding and selection techniques.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Biotechnologie
  • Génétique
DEF

Spanish

Campo(s) temático(s)
  • Biotecnología
  • Genética

English

Subject field(s)
  • Ecology (General)
CONT

This was the thrust of a recent report from Federation of Civil Engineering Contractors, which concluded that the metropolitan counties had found an assured strategic role in reclamation and environmental renewal. (The Times (London), 12 Mar. 1985, p. 14.).

French

Domaine(s)
  • Écologie (Généralités)
OBS
