Le poste de pilotage [...] est aménagé pour le chef-pilote et le copilote, assis à l'avant, respectivement à gauche et à droite, devant la planche de bord qui comprend les divers instruments indicateurs et de contrôle, et de part et d'autre d'un pupitre central comportant toutes les manettes et interrupteurs nécessaires à la commande des moteurs et à la manœuvre des divers autres mécanismes de l'avion. [...] Les avions les plus importants ont souvent un équipage de quatre membres, à savoir, outre les pilotes, un mécanicien-ingénieur et un radio-navigateur, assis devant des planches de bord latérales. Le poste est vitré par un pare-brise à glaces multiples, dont l'une, à la gauche du chef-pilote, est ouvrante.

La cabine est pratiquement toujours placée à l'avant, et se termine souvent par une bulle de plexiglass permettant une excellente visibilité en avant et latéralement. Sur les appareils de grandes dimensions, seule la cabine pilote est placée à l'avant.

El compartimiento de la tripulación de vuelo se diseñará de tal forma que se reduzca a un mínimo la posibilidad de accionamiento incorrecto o incompleto de los mandos por parte de la tripulación, debido a la fatiga, confusión o entorpecimiento.
