Bullying is when one person hurts or threatens someone else physically, verbally, or in writing. The bully may choose a victim who is smaller or younger than they are, or who is from a different race or culture, or they may pick on someone who is different in some other way. acoso; intimidación; hostigamiento; matonismo; matonaje; bullying: La Fundación del Español Urgente (Fundéu BBVA), con el asesoramiento de la Real Academia Española, indica que en español se ha extendido el uso de "bullying" para referirse específicamente al "acoso" que se produce en el ámbito escolar, y "mobbing" para el que tiene lugar en el trabajo, como explica el diccionario Clave. Estos anglicismos pueden sustituirse por el término "acoso", acompañado por los adjetivos escolar o laboral, e incluso, en otros casos, moral, psicológico, sexual [...] si se quiere especificar el ámbito de esa conducta y este no se deduce claramente del contexto.
