Le terme «règlement administratif» est employé au Nouveau-Brunswick [comme équivalent de] «by-law» [lorsqu'il s'agit] d'une corporation ou d'une association[,] et les seuls «règlements» sont ceux qui font partie des lois provinciales (souvent précisant les modalités d'application des lois). En France, un conseil municipal prend des délibérations, et un «arrêté municipal» est un des pouvoirs réglementaires comportant la police municipale qui est dévolu au maire sans que le conseil municipal y délibère.
