Provençal asparagus gouge. This asparagus cutter... is identical in design to those that have been in use in France for hundreds of years. The curved, sharply beveled blade cuts asparagus below ground level neatly and effortlessly. The shaft is firmly anchored in a smooth European ash handle, and its angle with the handle makes for great leverage and effortless work. Even if you don’t have an asparagus patch, this tool is the ultimate weeder, especially for noxious tap-rooted weeds such as dandelion, dock, and burdock.

OBS

The term "asparagus gouge" was mainly found in unreliable sources (translations). Not to be confused with "asparagus knife", a tool used for the same purpose but having a blade which is curved at the end and has serrated teeth.

Cet outil est typiquement français. Il se distingue du «couteau à asperges», qui se termine par une lame courbe pourvue de dents, et du «cueille-asperge» désigné en anglais par le terme «fishtail weeder» (arrache-pissenlits), dont la tête est fourchue.

Once approved at the Regional/Branch level, the Regional Budget Coordinator ensures any deviations between the detailed plans and the FM Budgets(version 200) are reconciled. The difference between the Region/Branch budget(allocation) and the total detailed plan must be reconciled by entering an activity dependent plan in the Clearing Cost Center. It will be the Regions/Branches responsibility to manage these Clearing Cost Center accounts, and that their ultimate authority to spend lies within their set FM Budgets.

The difference between reserves to handle contingencies and the anticipated lapsing of appropriated funds. Reserves are required to provide a margin for changed economic circumstances and to deal with possible contingencies during the course of the year. They are not allocated until their ultimate use has been determined. In comparison to the April 1993 budget, the level of the reserves has been increased to more adequately reflect the contingencies that may need to be addressed over the framework period.
