La récupération de la ligne par le moulinet à mouche peut s'effectuer de différentes façons. On distingue les moulinets automatiques, les semi-automatiques, les manuels démultipliés, les manuels simples [...] Le système [des moulinets automatiques] repose sur un ressort. Plus on sort de la ligne, plus le ressort se tend. Pour récupérer la ligne, il suffit d'appuyer sur la manette en avant du moulinet pour permettre au ressort de retrouver sa position d'origine, en récupérant la ligne par la même occasion.
