Canadian grain policy is in a period of transition. Government intervention in support of the sector is declining and being done in a more market neutral fashion. As a result, government programs are having a progressively smaller influence on production and marketing decisions. Major reforms are in progress in four areas. -- Grain Transportation -- Canadian Wheat Board Pooling -- Transition Programs -- Grain Safety Nets.

La politique canadienne des grains traverse une période de transition. L'État intervient moins pour appuyer le secteur, quand il intervient, il cherche à influer le moins possible sur les marchés. Ainsi, les programmes gouvernementaux ont de moins en moins d'incidence sur les décisions de production et de commercialisation.
