[Coin dimpling]. The coin ram dimpling dies are designed with a number of built-in features. The faces of both the male and female dies are dished (the male concave and the female convex) at an angle of 2° on the pilot. This facilitates removal of the metal after the dimple has been made.

Les outils d'embrèvement par frappe au coulisseau sont étudiés de manière à incorporer certaines caractéristiques particulières. Les faces des outils mâle et femelle sont incurvées (le poinçon ayant une forme concave, et la matrice une forme convexe), sous un angle de 2° par rapport à la tige-pilote.
