A cylinder and piston assembly having damping orifices disposed on a wall of the cylinder is used for impact energy and force reduction. The damping orifices may be of any shape and, therefore, a cylinder and piston may produce variable damping forces and variable resistive forces. A damping orifice may be positioned at any point or location along the length of the cylinder bore.

La présente invention a trait à un ensemble de cylindre et de piston comportant des orifices d'amortissement disposés sur une paroi du cylindre utilisé pour la réduction d'énergie et de force de choc. Les orifices d'amortissement peuvent être de toute forme et, par conséquent, un ensemble de cylindre et de piston peut produire des forces d'amortissement variables et des forces résistives variables.
