Dans les bâtiments où l'économie d'énergie est un facteur important et [...] où la charge de contaminants exige un taux de renouvellement d'air élevé, on peut intégrer une pompe à chaleur à l'installation afin de récupérer la chaleur de l'air extrait et d'aider à chauffer l'eau ou l'air extérieur admis. Enfin, le mécanisme d'extraction étant central, on ne fait qu'une seule ouverture dans l'enveloppe du bâtiment, ce qui réduit d'autant les risques de complications et de problèmes au plan de l'étanchéisation.
