The Graf-Askania meter (...) consists of an aluminum beam 30 cm long maintained in a horizontal position by the couple provided by horizontal springs under torsion near one end. Movements other than rotation about a horizontal axis are prevented by restraining filaments, and the beam position is read photoelectrically.

[Le] "gravimètre Graf-Askania" (...) se compose essentiellement (...) d'un bras en aluminium, ayant la forme d'un parallélépipède et une longueur d'environ 30 cm, maintenu dans la position horizontale par la torsion de deux ressorts à boudin horizontaux. La lecture de la position du bras se fait au moyen d'une cellule photo-électrique. Sa sensibilité statique est de 1"/mgal.
