L'hypothyroïdie est une situation pathologique en endocrinologie, d'imprégnation insuffisante de l'organisme en hormones thyroïdiennes, normalement produites par la glande thyroïde. Elle peut s'exprimer par des symptômes d'intensité variable tels qu'une fatigue, une somnolence, une frilosité, une constipation, une prise de poids, une pâleur cutanée, une raideur musculaire, des œdèmes («myxœdème»).
