Andrei Malevsky and the researchers at Environment Canada (Division de recherche en prévision numérique) have developed a portable parallel version of the MC2 model ("Mesoscale Compressible Community Model"), a regional non-hydrostatic driven model. This model, based on equations with primitive variables, is integrated over a restricted domain where the lateral boundary conditions are provided by a world-wide driving model.
