L'unique espèce de Nasique (Nasalis larvatus) habite [...] les forêts humides de Bornéo, de préférence au bord des rivières où ces singes aiment à nager. Leur nez à la Cyrano est l'apanage des mâles, chez lesquels il atteint communément une longueur de 8 centimètres et se recourbe vers le bas au point de toucher presque le menton. Les femelles et les jeunes l'ont beaucoup plus court et retroussé à la manière des Rhinopithèques.
