[...] la déchetterie permet aux particuliers et aux entreprises d'évacuer leurs encombrants et certaines autres catégories de déchets (tailles de haie et tontes de gazon, gravats, ferrailles ...) sur un site aménagé à cet effet en périphérie d'une agglomération. Accueilli sur une plate-forme clôturée et conseillé par un gardien, tout un chacun peut ainsi trier, puis déverser "monstres" et rebuts divers dans des conteneurs. Les ordures ménagères au sens strict ne sont pas admises.
