C'est pourquoi les explorations préopératoires sont très importantes. La plus utile serait l'urétrocystographie. Parmi les nombreuses opérations possibles le gynécologue doit bien connaître au moins l'urétropexie vaginale, l'urétropexie rétropubienne et l'opération de Goebell-Frangenheim-Stoeckel.
