CONT

A condensation particle counter (CPC) detects individual [aerosol] particles by passing them through a tube with controlled humidity in which the nanoparticles act as condensation nuclei for water. They can be grown to a sufficient size so that each one produces a detectable flash of light when it passes through a focused laser beam and can be counted.

CONT
