A standing committee that provides emergency management planning support and advice to the Federal Coordination Centre in a timely manner during an emergency and that provides and/or manages the flow of information and requests for federal assistance within a region. The Federal Coordination Group is co-chaired by the Public Safety Canada regional director and is composed of emergency management managers from federal departments in the region. The group reports to the Federal Coordination Steering Committee.
