Exceptionnally dark; reflects only 4 % of the light that falls on it; exceptionnally light, just 1.3 to 1.5 times the density of water. Period of rotation: 17.4 days. Studied by the NEAR spacecraft on its way to the north-Earth asteroid Eros.
