PACTE STABILITE CROISSANCE [1 record]

Record 1 1997-10-23

English

Subject field(s)
  • National and International Economics
CONT

By reaching a compromise on the "stability pact", Europe's leaders kept the single currency, the euro, on track for its launch on January 1st 1999. But they also fostered new concerns about how the euro will be managed. The pact, renamed at French insistence the "stability and growth pact", has admittedly had its worst features excised.

CONT
