In April 7, 2000, Canada Customs and Revenue Agency launched "Investing in the Future: The Customs Action Plan - 2000-2004". The Customs Action Plan will not contribute to Canada's economic growth through the streamlined movement of legitimate trade and travel, it will also allow us to do a better job at protecting Canadians.

Le 7 avril 2000, l'Agence des douanes et du revenu du Canada a lancé le document intitulé «Investir dans l'avenir : Le Plan d'action des douanes -- 2000-2004». Le Plan d'action des douanes contribue à la croissance économique du Canada grâce à la mise en place d'un processus simplifié pour la circulation des voyageurs et des échanges commerciaux légitimes, du même coup, le Plan fournit les outils nécessaires pour veiller encore mieux à la protection des Canadiens et des Canadiennes.
