Quantité d'ozone qui s'écarte pendant une certaine période de la quantité moyenne normale pour cette même période.

OBS

Par rapport à une moyenne annuelle, la diminution notable de la quantité d'ozone mesurée au printemps dans l'Antarctique constitue une variation (variation saisonnière). L'ozone présente de nombreuses variations de ce type (variation journalière, nocturne, diurne, mensuelle, annuelle, etc.) qui rendent son étude très complexe.

OBS

Il ne faut pas confondre la notion de variation d'ozone et celle d'altération de l'ozone.
