OBS

The goal of inhalation therapy, also known as respiratory therapy, is to improve breathing and lung function in order to alleviate the symptoms of chronic respiratory issues, such as asthma, bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and emphysema. Therapy may also be used to treat respiratory complications that might result from heart attacks and stroke.

L'inhalothérapeute intervient dans toute situation d’urgence(arrêt cardiaque ou respiratoire, urgence traumatologique) et dans le traitement de certaines maladies respiratoires(asthme, emphysème et fibrose kystique, par exemple) pour maintenir, rétablir ou assister la fonction des voies respiratoires par l'utilisation d’un respirateur artificiel ou de tout autre appareil d’oxygénation ou par l'administration de médicaments par les voies respiratoires.
