A mixture, in given proportions of two components, within certain limits of their respective concentration, exhibits a given effectiveness for a given concentration of the mixture in the medium in which the measurement is carried out. Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
There is synergy when this concentration is lower than that which would result from the linear combination, in the same proportions, of the concentrations which, for each component considered separately, would be necessary to achieve the same effectiveness. On the contrary, there is antagonistic effect if the concentration of the mixture is higher than that which would result from the linear combination. If the effectiveness of the mixture is equal to that which results from the linear combination, there is an additive effect. The components referred to above may themselves be mixtures. 1, record 1, English, - additive%20synergistic%20and%20antagonistic%20effect

Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
1, record 1, French, - effet%20d%27addition%2C%20de%20synergie%20et%20d%27antagonisme
