The French Codes BAEL (Béton Armé aux États Limites: limit state design of reinforced concrete) and BPEL (Béton Précontraint aux États Limites: limit state design of prestressed concrete) have been updated in order to incorporate C 60 concretes, that is to say concretes with a 60 MPa 28-day characteristic strength measured on 16 x 32 cm cylinders.

D'ores et déjà, la réglementation française a incorporé les bétons de la classe C60 aux Règles BAEL [Béton Armé aux États Limites] et BPEL 1991 [Béton Précontraint aux États Limites]. La mise à jour de ces Règles permet donc de prendre en compte les propriétés mécaniques de ces BHP dans la conception et le calcul des structures.
