Fun is a noun meaning “amusement.”

Informally, fun is widely used as an adjective, but this usage is not accepted in formal writing. Instead of fun, use adjectives such as fun-filled, enjoyable, entertaining and thrilling.

  • Come to the West Coast for a fun-filled vacation.
